Hey there, I’m Hannah Floor
I am an aspiring entrepreneur, master’s student, and foodie at heart.
Since childhood, I have argued with devoted meat eaters, used my diet as a form of political activism, and shared advice about food that supports both human and planetary health.
In everything I do, I am driven by a love for slow, fair food and believe in our diets as a powerful tool for change. I specialise in regenerative business development and leadership, food systems transitions, and interdisciplinary research.
My love for systems thinking was sparked during my bachelor’s degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences at Leiden University College, where I studied the connections between community empowerment, food production, and nature restoration. However, whilst moving in the realms of sustainable development, I felt something was missing.
During my internship at Squarewise, Nadine Troost introduced me to the concept of regeneration, and I was hooked. I was given a shared language to describe the future I envisioned for our world. It also clarified what had always unsettled me about sustainability: the idea of doing “less bad” in order to preserve the status quo. Regeneration starts from a different premise: one of restoring and strengthening life, like a nurturing handprint on the world.
Learning about regeneration felt like coming home after a long and frustrating journey: deeply familiar and quietly reassuring.
This fascination led me to Zürich, where I’m currently studying Preneurship for Regenerative Food Systems at the Zürcher Hochschule für Angewandte Wissenschaften.
This blog documents my journey into the world of regeneration and explores storytelling through food. But it also serves as an open invitation to connect and explore opportunities for collaboration.
I believe getting regeneration on the map requires a strong team effort. Whether you have big dreams for a better food system, concrete ideas for new regenerative food initiatives, plans for courses or knowledge platforms, or you simply need a sounding board, feel free to reach out.
